With San Diego Pride right around the corner and a whole month of celebrations, parties, planning, and beautiful queer chaos happening across the city, we’re keeping this picnic simple, relaxed, and easy. No big vendor row, no partner setups, no major raffle, no welcome table production — just community, music, sunshine, and a safe place to unwind together.

Think of it as a throwback to the earlier picnic days: low-key, laid-back, and focused on simply being together. Lee will be there DJing, we may have a potluck table, and there might even be a special guest performer stopping by to sing.

Whether you’re deep in Pride planning, recovering from a busy weekend, looking for a softer social space, or just want to sit in the park with good people and good vibes, this picnic is for you. Come as you are, bring something to share if you’d like, or just bring yourself.

Even if it’s a smaller crowd, the space will be there. The permit is set, the music will be playing, and Big Gay Picnic will be holding down a calm little corner of community in the middle of Pride season.
